Opening and closing times
Our facility is open from Monday to Friday from 07:00 - 17:00.
During the first three weeks of the Hamburg summer vacation and the week between Christmas and New Year, our facility is largely closed.
We offer an emergency group for working parents during this time.
FOREWORD
Kindergarten Bramfeld e.V.
The educational work at Kindergarten Bramfeld e.V. and in the LaLeLu crèche group is based on an appreciative attitude and mutual respect for one another.
Our actions are guided by our motto:
'We are children of one world.
For us, this means recognizing each family with their individual backgrounds, listening to their needs and working together with them for the benefit of the children.
FACILITIES
Over 30 years
We have been a permanent fixture in Bramfeld for over 30 years.
In our cozy, informal facility, we look after up to 60 children aged ten months to school age.
KINDERGARTEN BRAMFELD
Our kindergarten is located in Bramfeld, on the border to Barmbek, in a single-family house in a traffic-calmed backyard on Bramfelder Chaussee.
There is an elementary group, the Butterflies, with up to 18 children and a pre-school group, the Birds of Paradise, with up to 10 children.
Preschool
The preschool in the Bramfeld kindergarten e.V
The last year before children start school, the so-called pre-school year, is of particular importance to us.
The children have already acquired many skills and abilities in previous years. These should now be consolidated. Emotional and social skills as well as gross and fine motor skills and cognitive skills (language, logical thinking and mathematical knowledge) are specifically strengthened and promoted. This makes the transition from kindergarten to elementary school easier for the children and can be successful.
Depending on their stage of development, children aged 4.5 - 6 years are looked after in our pre-school group. The pre-school group is a permanent group that takes place daily from 8.00 - 14.00. Depending on demand, up to a maximum of 10 children are looked after.
Uur preschool work is based on three equally important focal points
Articulated preschool work:
The children are given the opportunity to complete a preschool unit in a limited period of time (similar to a school lesson). For example, folding work, a worksheet with matching exercises, embroidery cards, swinging exercises, etc. are used to promote units in the mathematical, linguistic, social and cognitive areas. Each unit always consists of an introduction - implementation and conclusion and is worked out and discussed together.
Targeted pre-school work:
Play and work materials are specifically selected and worked on in small groups. For example, dice games are played to strengthen numeracy, stamina and concentration, or the children are given the task of building a house out of Lego, for example. This also teaches stamina, concentration and spatial awareness. Basic static knowledge is also taught, for example, when building with Lego bricks. Problem solving in small groups when building together and frustration tolerance are trained.
Open preschool work:
The aim is to provide the children with a stimulating environment that invites and encourages them to learn in a variety of areas in a playful way using a wide range of challenging materials.
Language support
Language development is one of the most central areas in our work with children.
Language is the most important means of making contact with other people, expressing wishes and needs, expressing feelings and processing experiences.
Language education is geared towards the individual skills and interests of the children and supports their natural language development.
The entire day is used to stimulate and encourage the children in their language development.
This is done through everyday integrated language support and, for children from the age of 4, through targeted language support in individual sessions or in small groups to improve language development.
We use picture cards, board games of all kinds (memory, etc.), pens and paper and much more.
CRÈCHE GROUP LALELU
The LaLeLu crèche group is located in the immediate vicinity of the Bramfeld e.V. kindergarten and is on the first floor of an apartment building.
There is a crèche group, the little dwarves, in which up to 15 children aged 10 months to 2.5 years and an intermediate group, the big dwarves, in which up to 8 children aged 2.5 years are looked after until they move on to the elementary section.
WE ARE CHARACTERIZED BY
In our company, all employees see themselves as a team. We see ourselves as equal partners. We have a very good and trusting relationship with our parents and children. We have been working with many families for many years. Some of the former kindergarten children already have children of their own who are in turn looked after by us.
Our view of the world and people is our prerequisite for working with children. This means that we accept children with all their abilities and characteristics and offer them space and help.
The resolution "Help me to do it myself" so that the child can deal with the environment and the offers according to its development.
MUSIC
It has been proven that early musical education promotes language and communication skills and has a positive influence on the development of coordination, learning and social behavior in children. We therefore offer our children in the elementary and crèche groups dancing, singing and targeted musical journeys, movement games and occasional music-making with instruments in this area.
NUTRITION
For our crèches and elementary children, we ensure a balanced, varied and age-appropriate diet. Lunch is delivered fresh every day by a certified caterer who uses mostly organic products. Each meal is accompanied by a side dish and a dessert.
To strengthen the sense of community, every meal is eaten together.
In principle, no pork is offered and special needs such as allergies or intolerances are taken into account. Parents have the option of ordering an alternative vegetarian meal for their child.
PARENTAL WORK
Good and trusting cooperation with parents is very important to us. For the benefit of the children entrusted to us, we want to be a partner to the parents in their upbringing. Regular exchanges and discussions about the individuality of the children are important to us. Staff from different backgrounds can be important identification figures and discussion partners for children and parents.
Final thoughts
The basis of our work is the joy of educational work with the children. Building on this, we would like to be open to all children and parents, regardless of their origin or faith, who are interested in our facility. The exchange about a child-friendly orientation of our facility will not stop in the future and we want to fulfill our mission to always be there for our children and always work for the best conditions for the children.
